The Cummins C30D6 is a preconfigured 30kW diesel generator designed for reliable standby power in demanding environments. It features a heavy-duty 3.3L 4-cycle diesel engine, PowerCommand 1.1 electronic control, and a brushless 4-pole alternator for stable performance. The standard cooling system supports operation up to 122°F and includes coolant heaters for dependable starting down to -40°F. This model is configured for 120/240V single-phase output and does not include a fuel tank.

Can I connect this generator to my house?
Only through a transfer switch or an interlock kit installed by a licensed electrician. Never plug a generator into a wall outlet: it can back-feed the utility line and endanger line workers. Connecting safely.
What can it run at the same time?

Does it ship with oil?
It depends on the manufacturer. If oil is included it is listed under What’s in the box; otherwise use the grade given in the owner’s manual before the first start.
Can I use it in the rain?
Not uncovered. Run it on a dry surface under an open, canopy-like cover, at least 20 feet from doors, windows and vents, and never in a garage.
Is installation included?
No. A home standby generator needs a licensed electrician, a licensed gas contractor for the fuel line and local permits. Delivery to your curb or driveway is free.
